Recycled pencil holder
Material:
• An empty milk carton, or chocolate milk
powder can.
• Decorative recycled materials: pieces
of cloth, pictures from magazines or
newspapers, buttons, dried fl owers, or
whatever children like!
• Scissors
• Glue
Vocabulary:
Recycling, ecology, environment, clean, healthy, colours
Instructions:
1. Children should bring a clean milk cartons from home, with the top
cut off, or can of the type that contains chocolate milk powder
or similar.
2. Use the glue to stick pieces of coloured paper, pictures from
magazines or newspapers, cloth, or whatever children have
brought, to the container.
3. Your recycled pencil holder is ready! Now students can give it as
a present to their parents or friends to celebrate Thanksgiving Day!
Note: All activities involving cutting and gluing should be done under the supervision of an adult.
